Our Story
Born from the heart of rural Arizona in 2004, AireBeam began with a mission: To bridge the digital divide. At the time, reliable Internet access was a luxury for many in rural communities, leaving families, businesses, and students disconnected from opportunities. Our founders, locals who experienced these challenges firsthand, envisioned a company that would make the Internet accessible to everyone.
What began as a local solution has now become one of Arizona’s top providers of Fixed Wireless and Fiber to the Home (FTTH) services. Based in Phoenix, we take pride in our Arizona roots and our commitment to improving access to high-speed Internet across the state, empowering communities and fostering growth and opportunity for all.
In 2020, AireBeam was acquired by Boston Omaha Corporation [NYSE: BOC]. This acquisition enhanced our ability to invest in advanced technologies and expand our fiber infrastructure, enabling us to connect more homes, businesses, and communities than ever before. Today, AireBeam proudly serves a diverse range of customers, including individual households, home builders, developers, rental communities, RV parks, and more.
As a locally founded company, AireBeam remains deeply committed to our Arizona communities. From Casa Grande to Florence, we are weaving a digital fabric that strengthens education, business, and innovation. With a focus on delivering reliable, high-speed service, we’ve already made significant strides at communities like Fairways Mobile Home Community, Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort, Mesa Spirit RV Resort, and Sundance RV Resort. By providing fiber Internet to residents, we’re ensuring they enjoy seamless streaming, gaming, and fast downloads, helping these communities thrive in a digital-first world.
Our expansion includes introducing fiber Internet to new locations such as Rock Shadows 55+ RV Stays and Homes Community, Voyager RV Resort & Hotel, and Superstition Sunrise RV Resort. This growth reflects our dedication to providing residents with the Internet they need to stay engaged, informed, and entertained.

Our Senior Leadership Team
Ben Elkins | Chief Executive Officer
In June 2022, Ben Elkins was appointed CEO of AireBeam, bringing over 20 years of experience in telecommunications and software leadership. His core values of optimism, loyalty, confidence, critical thinking, and understanding guide him in his role every day. Ben enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Samantha, and helping raise their niece, BreAnn. He also values golf, college football, and Sunday morning church.
Melinda Fleming | Director of Finance & HR
Melinda has been with AireBeam since 2012 as the Director of Finance and Human Resources, serving as a strong voice and key member of the senior leadership team. With over 10 years of experience, she has played a vital role in guiding the company through its growth. She and her husband, Mike, live in Breckenridge, Colorado, where they enjoy the beautiful scenery and outdoor activities. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, hiking, gardening, and hot air ballooning.
Zavier Hafiz | Director of Operations
Zavier has been the Director of Operations at AireBeam since 2020, bringing a strong operations background and customer-focused strategies that have driven growth in both our customer base and network footprint. His expertise in creating and implementing processes has improved profitability, efficiency, and productivity. Zavier is passionate about program and process development, and his belief in open communication with stakeholders has contributed to AireBeam’s continued success. He leverages his diverse skill set to navigate the challenges of an ever-changing industry.
Darin Ethington | Director of Construction
Darin has been with AireBeam since 2009 and is currently the Director of Construction and Field Operations. With over 30 years of experience in construction, including residential and commercial projects, he has played a key role in installation, tower construction, and bringing fiber optics to our service areas. Darin feels blessed to have spent 27 years with his wife and to raise ten children together. He enjoys spending time with his family, sharing his knowledge, and learning valuable life lessons from them in return.
Paul Ingram | Director of Business Development
Paul is a highly driven and passionate leader with over 25 years of diverse experience in construction, landscaping management, and pavement maintenance. He is proficient in advancing growth initiatives and turning strategic objectives into successful operational plans. Competitive by nature, Paul has extensive experience leading teams and working with national and regional clients. His personal philosophy is that he believes there is something to be learned from every experience.
Michael Liddle | Director of IT & Networks
Mike was appointed Director of IT in mid-2022 and brings over 20 years of experience in network engineering, design, security, and system administration. He is focused on growing the AireBeam network with scalability, increased reliability, and delivering a top-tier experience for customers.
