Last Two Zones of Fiber Infrastructure Being Installed in Q1 2023 to Give All Residents Access to Truly High-Speed Internet Via Fiber
AireBeam, Arizona’s fastest growing fiber to the home and fixed wireless Internet service provider, announced today that nearly all Arizona City residents will have access to 1 gigabit of fiber to the home Internet by the end of April 2023. Arizona City’s fiber build out is being conducted in a series of zones where fiber is being installed. There are a total of six zones and AireBeam is currently finishing zone 5 and will finish zone 6 by April.
“We are excited to complete this project for Arizona City residents,” said Ben Elkins, CEO of AireBeam. “Arizona City will have access to 1 Gbps of Internet which will allow city residents to take advantage of a number of content, entertainment, and streaming services.”
AireBeam fiber allows for Internet speeds of up to 1 Gbps or more, improving download speeds by as much as 10 times over other so-called high-speed Internet options. Fiber optics are not only faster (they can send data at 70 per cent the speed of light) but they are also less susceptible to severe weather, resulting in more reliable Internet.
AireBeam services Maricopa, Pima and Pinal counties, Arizona City and the surrounding areas. Currently, 75 per cent of Arizona City residents have access to fiber through AireBeam, with nearly 100 per cent expected to have access by April 2023.
“We started our build out of fiber Internet infrastructure three years ago in Arizona City,” Elkins said. “Over the past year the pace of the build out has quickened due to the demand for this great technology. With most of the city covered now, many residents can currently take advantage of fiber Internet. By the end of the project, everyone in Arizona City will be able to rely on AireBeam for the best Internet available.”
